3peat!

Led by Senior Chris Vizcaino the Cougar boys had a THREE-PEAT! Winning their 3^rd NCS title in 3 years with a great run at NCS.  Chris finished second to Ben Gutierrez (Bishop O’Dowd).  Ben ran the fastest time of the day (of all 5 divisions) at 15:12 while Chris threatened his school record of 15:19 (’04) with a very fast 15:24, the third fastest time of the day (all divisions).  All races were 3 miles.

Dynamic Duo Roll- --Finnegan Crushes School Record!

Laurie Finnegan (5^th 18:17) and Sparky Murillo (6^th 18:31) led the Cougars to yet another state meet birth with an excellent 2^nd place finish to Miramonte in the fiercely competitive Division III girl’s battle.  Only a sophomore, Laurie crushed the school record of 18:48 set in 2002 by NCS champion Vera Ross.   In a total of 5 divisions (based on school size), the locals showed us all how tough the DFAL is!  Miramonte girls had the fastest team time (top 5 runners total time) of the day and Campolindo had the 2^nd fastest team time of the day among 70 schools in the entire NCS!  Should be a great battle at state!
